5 superior Pedro alternatives that Manchester United could bring to the club this summer

The rumour mills have exploded into life this afternoon as Manchester United appear to have lost out in the race to sign Barcelona winger Pedro. Whatever the truth on this one, expect Jose Mourinho to brag about how Pedro chose Chelsea ahead of Manchester United. And expect Louis to play down the deal and say that they United were never that keen.

The Guardian did, after all, write several days ago that:

the United manager isn’t convinced about Pedro’s pace

Certainly some soccersweep readers are keen to move on to pastures new with a big response to the news. One annoyed reader wrote:

‘Forget that little squirt. There are far better players out there than Pedro. What about Griezmann?

Manchester United surely have an ace up their sleeve in the remaining days of the window. Here are 5 arguably better options for the right wing than Pedro.

Antoine Griezmann

Manchester United have a right footer cutting in from the left (Memphis), so how about a left footer cutting in from the right? No not Mata. Antoine Griezmann.

Here is one of the best players in Europe and, although his release fee is 80m Euros, we would bite the hand off Atletico even at that price.

Because, with Memphis, this guy would tear The Premier League to shreds.

He usually plays through the middle but is intelligent and skilful enough to play anywhere.

Marco Reus

Another who can play in various positions but would have no problems at all on the right flank. Pacy, precise and a wonderful goal scorer.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

He looks to be maturing fast and has everything in his locker to be a top player. Must have a price and would possibly be tempted by a guaranteed start at Manchester United.

Gareth Bale

Was booed again by a section of the Real Madrid support in their latest pre-season game on Tuesday night.

Perhaps another cheeky Manchester United bid may succeed.

Sadio Mane

One of the things that we most like about Louis van Gaal, the manager, is his transfer acumen. We usually agree with his decisions in terms of arrivals and departures.

And we were particularly pleased to hear that Sadio Mane is reportedly on the radar.

He’s top quality and would represent a far more exciting long term signing to Pedro.

Quick, skilful and adventurous to the point of being brazen, we love him.

Manchester United fans: who would be your top pick for right wing?

Van Gal is not a sharp coach that Man United want, he is very slow and a destroyer, no superstar football player will come to play under him or else he will ruin his career. for more than a Month , he is on Pedro, now we have loosing him to opponent rival, likewise Otamendi, we lost him to Man City, very useless coach. very sure he will get out of Man United

Mane or Griezman would be a very perfect signnin… And a quality xperienced defender… Then we would win the league and also the Champions League also… Please Woodward make us happy… It’s been long we lifted the league and the Champions League… We can’t wait anymore.
