Ok – well it may be a tenuous link right now. But one thing is for sure. This guy is one of the hottest properties in Europe and it’s difficult to imagine how Manchester United would be weaker with him in the eleven.
We have been waxing lyrical about this lad for a long time now. While Paul Pogba looks as if he may be the subject of a massive bidding war for his services this summer, Lazio star Felipe Anderson could turn out to be a bargain alternative.
And reports persist that, while The Reds may be keen on Roberto Firmino, Manchester United will nevertheless make a bid for Anderson over the coming days or weeks. This time it’s the turn of The Sun to stoke the flames of speculation with the following:

The Manchester United boss sees the Lazio speedster as the perfect man to boost their firepower.
Manchester United undoubtedly need more pace and dynamism in the midfield. Ander Herrera is a useful player but he won’t pick the ball up and drive at the heart of the opposition defence with the leather sphere at his feet. But players like Pogba and Anderson will do just that. At just 22 years of age this guy is already banging in goals for fun too – 11 in 36 for his club last season in a league which has improved dramatically over the last couple of years.
We think that this one should be a no-brainer for Louis van Gaal. The Brazilian should develop into an a-list talent over the next few seasons and better for Manchester United to snap him up now for around £30m than to have to get involved in a Pogba-esque auction when this lad has fully blossomed.
