Report: Manchester United to splurge €58.6m on Superstar after all?

World Class

This is the sports media in a nutshell. Soon after his first decent performance for Manchester United the press was awash with news that the club had already agreed personal terms on a permanent move for Radamel Falcao once his loan move ended.

Now that things don’t look quite as certain for the striker we begin to hear that Manchester United are unsure about whether to take the plunge on a 58.6m Euro move come May.

Both or neither stories may have had substance but they appear more a reflection of the plight of the player rather than any solid deals being done.

The superstar has been injured for a couple of weeks and the vagueness of the club about the nature of the injury has lead to concern that he hasn’t properly healed from the anterior cruciate knee ligament injury he sustained in January.

We sincerely hope that this isn’t the case. Falcao’s continued absence would be a huge blow to football, not just Manchester United. Because this is a player who can even eclipse Sergio Aguero in The Premier League. We really believe that, if he can get match fit, he can take United to another level – he’s that good. A great goalscorer and scorer of great goals. What more could you want?

We believe that, despite the excellent start of Di Maria, that Falcao was undoubtedly the star signing of the summer. United have had rotten luck with injuries but there is some hope that Falcao will be back for the game against Palace at the weekend and his return can’t come soon enough.

Get Falcao fit and United won’t think twice about paying all that money to sign him permanently.

Manchester United fans: worth the money?
