Manchester United in surprise playmaker link

David Moyes failed to find an artist for the midfield last summer

With Manchester United on the prowl all summer for a midfield genius of high profile, names like Cesc Fabregas, Thiago Alcantara and Sami Khedira where persistently thrown around.

Unfortunately David Moyes failed to find and artist for the midfield and instead chose Marouane Fellaini. It’s unfair to write to the player off after just a few poor performances and Manchester United but he certainly hasn’t done the business so far.

Perhaps he will become a superior passer of the ball, learn to read the game better and take over from Michael Carrick as a deep-lying midfielder, but it doesn’t look like he’s got the creativity or skill to orchestrate Manchester United attacks. He will be decent at set pieces because of his obvious height advantage he but doesn’t have the fleet feet required to be a playmaker at this level.

So the search will continue for Manchester United and today they are being linked with a lesser known player.

The Guardian says that Manchester United are interested in Polish midfielder Karol Linetty. The Lech Poznan player is only 23 years of age but is already being likened to Luca Modric. He has only played 17 times for his club for the love of sweet Jesus – but he is already getting huge hype.

Let’s see him in action and you can make up your own mind. Is this lad is the answer to Manchester United’s midfield problems?
