Tottenham have already signed the brilliant Toby Alderweireld this summer.

But their transfer window has been notable for the players that they have let go. Fazio is the latest name on the tongues of the transfer mongers and Emmanuel Adebayor, Aaron Lennon and Roberto Soldado will surely add their names to the mass exodus before too long.

So now is the time for the fun to begin for Tottenham fans.

And the next man in the door looks increasingly likely to be the brilliant young Cameroon international Clinton N’Jie.

Highly respected French media outlet L’Equipe says that the Lyon frontman is on the verge of completing a move to The Premier League with Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

The Olympique Lyonnais striker Clinton Njie, has signed a five-year contract at Tottenham, which pays 14 million euros ( +3 bonus).

Meanwhile Sky Sports said a few minutes ago:

Sky Sports understands the forward will have a medical and discuss personal terms with the club, but he must still apply for a work permit before he can move to north London.

The adaptable 21 year told has already played 11 times for Cameroon – no minnows on the world stage – and scored a remarkable 6 goals. He’s also felt his way into the Lyon side over the last few years with 43 appearances and 8 goals.

33 of those games and all of the goals came in his breakthrough campaign last season.

He certainly ticks the ‘pace’ box and Tottenham need more of that.

And, at 21, this is a low risk signing who will cost around £10-12m Squid.

Let’s see him in action.

Tottenham fans: potatoes sufficiently boiled by Njie?
