Tottenham now ready to pay the money for brilliant marksman says highly respected source

Berahino far better than some might think

Special

As we said earlier in the week, the fun is about to being for Tottenham.

After a summer of departures Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has space in the squad and is armed with cash.

We should see Clinton Njie officially complete his move to Tottenham over the weekend and the latest news from The Telegraph is that the next man on the list is Said Berahino.

After a summer of speculation about whether Tottenham would make a serious move, it appears that they now intend to conclude a transfer for the lightning fast forward, and what a player he could be for Spurs.

The Telegraph says:

Tottenham transfer news: Spurs plan £15 million bid for Saido Berahino after offloading Roberto Soldado

Spurs are planning to reinvest the money coming in from the sale of Roberto Soldado to Villarreal in a bid for West Brom striker

We always felt that more pace was now needed in the squad and Berahino certainly isn’t short of that.

But he also has superb finishing ability, as his goal return in The Premier League over the last two seasons shows.

We think that he will be asked to play wide, at times, rather than just to sit on the bench as a back up to Harry Kane.

Because he can add penetration and pace to that attack and complement the ruthless talents of Kane in front of goal.

Let’s see him in action.

Both players would be poor buys for Spurs.

Need to go for Austin who offers far more as an experienced and natural goal scorer.
