United in “Pole” position for star holding midfielder

Grzegorz Krychowiak

MANCHESTER UNITED are poised to pounce for Arsenal target Grzegorz Krychowiak, according to several sources.

The Sun reports: “Krychowiak is a £30million target following his stunning performances for Sevilla and helping them win the Europa League.

and also adding that ““Michael Carrick has not agreed a new deal to stay at Old Trafford and there are doubts over Morgan Schneiderlin being a long-term solution.”

United, though, will face stiff competition for the defensive midfielder, with Italian double winners Juventus also known to be admirers.

Arsenal, who considered the Poland international in the January transfer window but instead opted to bring in the much cheaper Mo Elneny from Basle, have recently re-ignited their interest in Krychowiak with a number of older Gunners expected to move on in the summer.

Krychowiak has been a key figure at Sevilla since arriving from Reims in 2014, especially when playing at Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán. When he’s been in the Started XI at home, Sevilla have conceded just 0.79 goals per game which rises over 50% to 1.2 goals per game when he hasn’t played.

Manchester United are fifth favourites at 13/2 to win next season’s Premier League title according with UK Bookmakers, Coral.
