Time up (again) for Chelsea midfielder?

Nemanja

JUVENTUS are close to clinching a £20 million deal to sign Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic.

The Daily Express reports: “It looks like the Serb, whose form has dipped this season after shining in the Blues’ title-winning campaign, could be one of the first out of the door as new manager Antonio Conte prepares to take control this summer.”

Matic, 27, was originally signed by Chelsea from MFK Kosice for £1.5m in 2009 but was sold to Benfica in a swap deal for Brazil defender David Luiz, with the Blues having to pay £21m to bring him back in 2014.

Brazil midfielder Oscar could also be moving on with Juventus keen while the Chinese Super League is another possibility.

Chelsea will listen to offers for Thibaut Courtois, whose relationship with goalkeeping coach Christophe Lollichon has broken down. Real Madrid and Barcelona are interested but a possible £73m price tag would be a problem.

Strikers Radamel Falcao and Loic Remy are also set to leave, and on-loan Alexandre Pato’s deal is still under discussion.

John Obi Mikel has had an offer from Fenerbahce, while skipper John Terry is yet to be offered a new deal.

Will Chelsea regret selling Matic – as they did the first time?
