Rather amazingly, Tottenham have only 4 players receiving treatment at the last count. And two of those, Bentaleb and Chadli, could make the squad for this one.
For a club notorious for having a huge sick list, this represents a real fillip as we approach the half-way point of the season.
Tottenham have of course had a lot of crocked stars this season but the squad is largely fit and firing at this point.
And they have already qualified for the last 32 of The Europa League – a fact that may be reflected in the line up on Thursday evening (White Hart Lane, Kick Off 20:05 Local Time).
You might argue that it’s best to finish top of the group but that’s debatable.
Because, either way you could end up with a giant that has been eliminated from The Champions League – although Spurs would avoid the four ‘best ranked’ CL sides if they do top their group.
Still, it seems silly not to make an occasion of a glamorous fixture like this and Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will want his side to keep improving – keep the momentum going after a very promising start to the season from his young flock.
With Pritchard and Mason the only two confirmed absentees, here is a realistic XI for the Monaco match.
