Foreward: We can’t remember the last time we saw a Tottenham injury list this short. And what’s more, the doubtful trio of Mason, Dembele and N’Jie could all make the squad for the game against Southampton this weekend.
Southampton have dropped off the pace to a degree this season, as injuries and departures have hit hard, and they currently find themselves in 12th place in the league after defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend.
But let’s not pretend for a second that this is going to be an easy game for Tottenham Hotspur. Southampton have quality throughout the team and, up top, the likes of Graziano Pelle and Sadio Mane could get into virtually any team in the league right now.
We love to watch The Saints play and Tottenham’s fluid and expansive style could make this a real humdinger of a game for the football puritan.
That said, Tottenham have developed a tough shell this season and have more yellow cards than any other Premier League side.
