Following up on a story which surfaced again yeserday The Telegraph has now weighed in on a transfer rumour which isn’t going away.
Manchester United consider January move for Newcastle striker Ayoze Perez
The report suggests that Arsenal and Tottenham are also keen on his services but that Manchester United, who still seem short in the attacking department, are the most sincere of his suitors.
The 22 year old Tenerife born Spaniard exploded onto he scene at Newcastle with some match-winning performances and goals when he first joined the club.
As with so many foreign imports of low profile, his qualities were soon realised and he was marshall out of many a game.
But he has started this season well, with 3 goals in 8 leagues games, to show that he is no flash in the pan.
We think that he may be considered a little lightweight by some Manchester United fans who want to add 1 or 2 players of real quality to go straight into the first team rather than more squad members.
But Perez has surprised many already with his performances in England and perhaps he can make the leap to Manchester United.
Let’s see him in action.
