Report: Busy day for Tottenham as another bid made

Tottenham will surely be one of the busier clubs in the market on deadline day as they continue their search, primarily, for more firepower.

The Said Berahino move has been on and off all summer and Tottenham seem dubious about bending to the financial demands of a club who would clearly prefer not to sell one of their prize assets.

The Daily Mail says of this one:

Tottenham to make improved final bid for Saido Berahino with West Brom striker desperate to move on deadline day

West Bromwich Albion rejected £21m offer from Tottenham last week

But latest reports state that Tottenham may have broadened their search to include another creative target as a West Ham star has reportedly been the subject of a bid. The Daily Mail reports:

West Ham reject £15m offer from Tottenham for Senegalese star Cheikhou Kouyate

Now there is a chance that Tottenham could get both these guys in today.

And how that would transform the team going forward.

Both Kouyate and Berahino could comfortably support Harry Kane – Kouyate driving forward from the midfield and Berahino in attack – and would offer the sort of pace, penetration and goal threat that has been somewhat lacking from Tottenham’s early season game.

The 25 year old Senegal international, of some 17 caps, has been a massive success story in The Premier League since joining West Ham last summer with 6 goals in 37 games and some brilliant performances from the engine room.

Let’s take a look at Kouyate in action.

Tottenham fans: a worthy addition?

The lack of football knowledge is astounding. I really hope you are not paid to write such drivel.
Such utter nonsense. The player is NOT a forward. He is a central midfielder. A good one at that, and yes Tottenham are interested.
