This whole David de Gea debacle has left a bad taste in the mouth of many a Manchester United fan.

The 24 year old has kept his mouth shut about a move and that is to his credit.

But he does appear to want out of Manchester United with a year left on his contract.

The latest suggestion in the media is that Manchester United will attempt yet another swap as part of the deal.

The Daily Mail writes:

Manchester United may let David de Gea leave if Real Madrid include young striker Borja Mayoral as part of deal

The youngster is supposedly very highly regarded and, as such, Real Madrid may not let him leave.

But the report states that:

The 18-year-old has caught the eye of United scouts and it is understood the young forward is firmly on Louis van Gaal’s radar.

The Manchester United manager is putting his philosophy of blooding youngsters into practice this season with the selection of a forward line which includes the young talents of Adnan Januzaj and Memphis Depay.

But, while he is always on the lookout for players who can make a difference, we feel that at this stage of the window the Manchester United manager will be looking to get deals done for more experienced talent who can make an impression on the first team straight away.

And the fact that this lad hasn’t yet got near the first team at Real Madrid would suggest that it will take time before he is ready to start games at Manchester United.

Let’s take a look at the lad in action.
