This one really is a shocker.
Manchester United aren’t exactly known for their decisive moves in the transfer market and it appears that they may have lost out to Chelsea again – this time with the signing of Spanish superstar Pedro.
Spanish media outlet Marca reports that the Spaniard, who has turned out 50 times for Spain and won the World Cup with his country, is in West London for a medical at Chelsea, with a fee agreed between the clubs.
According to Marca, Manchester United were prepared to pay 25m + 5m Euros in add-ons for the services of the Barcelona star.
But Chelsea waded in with 28m up front and 2m in add ons.
Pedro Rodríguez is all set to join Chelsea. The Blues and Barça struck a deal on Tuesday night for an initial €28m plus another €2m in add-ons, gazumping Manchester United’s offer of €25m up front and up to €5m in extras. Manchester City are understood to have never submitted a formal bid for the pacy wideman/forward.
Pedro is already in London undergoing a medical, having been given permission to do so by Barcelona.
If this one goes ahead it will be seen as yet another catastrophe for Ed Woodward in the market.
Because, when asked about his interest in Pedro, Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has never denied that he would be keen to acquire the service of the player.
There is nothing concrete on this one but many areas of the media are now reporting it and Chelsea are perhaps about to get one over their great rivals Manchester United.
We shall keep you updated thoughout the day.

Just the news i and many other United fans were expecting after ignorant Van Gaal and Comedian Woodward allowed the saga to drag on. All over an extra £3m. First, Van Gaal does not pursue Otamendi, a centre back who had the qualities to solve our defensive issues and he is now on the verge to strengthen our city rivals, then Lvg hands Ashley Young a new contract, he fails horribly in his pursuit for Alves and then Sergio Ramos, while causing a uneasy relation with De Gea and today it appears Chelsea have once again pick pocketed United to a certain addition because Van Gaal reportedly refused to pay an extra £3m for Pedro, 28, a CL and World Cup winner – but somehow he and Woodward had enough to resources to keep paying Ashley Young. United are now just trying to save face – “Van Gaal decided not to longer pursue Pedro” yeah whatever – this is what you get when you act to smart and assured – remember Sir Alex refusing to pay a little extra for Robben, who was given a tour of Carrington Training Complex , only for Chelsea to come in any pick pocket us in EXTRA time. Lvg is fast preparing and cementing his funeral as Man Utd manager and maybe the £3m he and Woodward were bragging over reportedly all summer could help towards his funeral+

Forget that little squirt. There are far better players than Pedro out there. Why not go for Griezmann?
