4 more First Team members now look likely to leave Manchester United – plus €38.7m man?

Gone?

You do sense that, after letting so many players leave the club this summer, Manchester United still have a couple of big buys to make in this window.

But there could still be several more departures from the first team too and we look at the most likely:

David De Gea

Crazy speculation about this lad this week and latest reports would suggest that bridges are now being burnt between Manchester United and the player. We would be more surprised if he stayed at this point.

Jonny Evans

Has been treading water at Manchester United for a couple of years and he isn’t even in the pecking order any more – never mind bottom of it.

Linked to Everton

Anders Lindegaard

The 31 year old moved to Manchester United in 2010 and vowed not to spend his whole time as an understudy, picking his nose on the bench.

Has since spent 4 years as an understudy, picking his nose on the bench.

After just 29 appearances United have reportedly told him he can leave

Jesse Lingard

Always flatters to deceive in preseason but this is a poor man’s Ashley Young. Who himself is a poor man’s Lee Sharpe. Who was a very poor man’s Ryan Giggs.

You do the math.

Linked to Newcastle.

Marouane Fellaini

Signed for 38.7m Euros in 2013, Fellaini had a good season last year but can you see him getting in the side this term? Even if there is a raft of injuries, Manchester United’s midfield and number ten positions are extremely well covered.

Fellaini could be used as a great bargaining chip for a swap deal.
