Tottenham look likely to strengthen their attack this summer and, to that end, various names have been linked.
The hope, amongst many Tottenham fans is that they can offload the underperforming Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor and bring a young whipper snapper in with electric pace and good finishing ability.
One of the most regularly linked players is Said Berahino of West Brom.
We think that he would jump at the chance to sign for Tottenham and recent reports suggest that the player may move to White Hart Lane this summer with a ‘firm bid looming’ according to The Mirror.
The 21 year old has certainly impressed us. Too many English players tend to lack the requisite technique to go with their pace or power.
But this lad seems to marry his electric ground speed with genuine composure in front of goal.
He’s hit 10 goals in 11 games for England at U21 level and got 20 in 45 games for West Brom in 2014/15, who weren’t exactly free scoring last season.
Sky Sports reports today that:
Sky Bet are reporting a surge of interest in Tottenham signing Saido Berahino this summer, prompting their odds to be cut from 2/1 to 5/4.
We think that pace is ever more important in the modern game – particularly in The Premier League.
Harry Kane is a wonderful player but not exactly electric off the mark. And, in general, Tottenham aren’t the fastest side.
So this addition makes a lot of sense for various reasons.
Let’s see the lad in action.
Tottenham fans: Is Berahino the best man for the job of supporting Harry Kane at White Hart Lane next season?

Probably the whole world knows that Berahino would be the perfect fit for Spurs.Unfortunately the 1 in a million Daniel Levy will think not and that will be it.

Berahino has been a Tottenham interest rumour for 3 weeks. Why is this news ?
If and when Spurs bid – that will be news.
If the bid is successful – that will be news.
If Berahino signs for Spurs – that will be news.
Trying to find a twist on the same old rumour is not news.

It’s not news we want it’s a bloody miracle when it comes to Levy and strikers. He is still living off his one great transfer coop (Rafa van der Vaart). In reality Levy should just sit and wait until coach and whoever else says “go” then and only then should Levy do anything. Once again though it looks like we will be buying a striker with no time to train with the rest of the team…oh dear.

pretty much what has just been said really. Of course he would be ideal for Kane and Tottenham but just report on him coming to us if and when it happens so I don’t have to keep reading these stupid stories that anyone can write.
