This one looks increasingly likely to happen by the day.

With Manchester United’s first game of the season now just a couple of weeks away Louis van Gaal would obviously like all of his ducks lined up for the opener against Tottenham on August 8th and Pedro appears to be one of his priority remaining targets.

The Telegraph asserts:

United manager Louis van Gaal has identified Pedro as a priority target to bolster his attacking options at Old Trafford

Manchester United play Barcelona on Saturday which means that the logistics of a deal should also be easy to hammer out.

While there is a pang of regret that Pedro could end up being a replacement for Angel di Maria, the Spaniard has many qualities of his own.

He lacks the explosive speed of the Argentine but has more composure and cedes possession far less.

Let’s take a look at him in action. Manchester United fans: Will Pedro walk straight into the first team and, if so, who makes way?
