Manchester United’s next major summer signing

Pedro - class

Busy summer

So far Manchester United have done some brilliant business this summer and completely transformed their midfield with the talents of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin.

They have also bolstered at right back with the exciting Matteo Darmian and added the attacking talents of Memphis Depay.

But we know that Louis van Gaal wants more and he admitted as much at the weekend when he said:

..we are not finished yet, I think.” Van Gaal told MUTV.

“We need a balance in the selection and I think we still need to improve at least two positions and we shall do that when it is possible.

The question is, who will be next for Manchester United?

Here are the three most likely next signings:

Sergio Romero

The Guardian reports that the Argentinian keeper could be the next through the door. They say:

Manchester United are inching towards signing Sergio Romero as Louis van Gaal seeks a replacement for Victor Valdés, the Spanish goalkeeper who is for sale.

The 28 year old starred in The World Cup last summer but the report suggests that, whether or not David de Gea moves on, this lad will start as understudy at Old Trafford.

Nicolas Otamendi

Forget all this Sergio Ramos nonsense. Otamendi is Argentinian class and would be the perfect successor to Nemanja Vidic. He’s a scary man who doesn’t mess about. He’s a no nonsense and commanding defender who also scored 6 goals in La Liga last season. A superb player. Various reports state that Manchester United are closing in on him.

Pedro

This one is a bit generates mixed feelings for Manchester United fans. Pedro is a super player with similar ball control to David Silva. But his arrival could spell the end of the pacier Angel di Maria.

Some reports suggest that he has told his mates he wants to move to Manchester United.

Let’s see Pedro in action.

Manchester United fans: a good buy?
