Manchester United’s recruitment drive hasn’t yet kicked in fully and we expect a lot more movement once the departures are sorted.

RvP is the latest name who looks destined for a move as the revolution bites at Old Trafford under Louis van Gaal.

And with Radamel Falcao also leaving Manchester United, the big question is who the club will sign to reinforce that attack.

If Chicharito also leaves Manchester, as expected, that will leave United with just Wayne Rooney and James Wilson as the senior strikers. With European commitments on the table this season that simply isn’t enough.

We hope that they will be making a marquee signing for the front line before September, but recent reports suggest that Manchester United are keen on a very interesting prospect. The Daily Mail stated:

We have to say that we really like the look of this 25 year old. He is something of a rough diamond, who had an excellent first season in The Premier League, scoring 12 in 26 games. One of the great things about him is his explosive pace – a quality which this Manchester United squad currently lacks.

At 6 foot and change he’s also a strong athlete with good technique. This could actually turn out to be a really interesting signing for Manchester United. Sakho wouldn’t expect to play every game but could grow into squad and offer real cutting age in attack in the last 25 minutes of games.

So, while we would definitely like to see another A-list signing as well, this could be a really good foray into the market for Manchester United. Let’s take a look at the lad in action.
