According to club sources, they also have a deal in place with Germany midfielder Ilkay Gundogan to join them from Borussia Dortmund. All three players are in their early twenties.
Gundogan was out of action for over a year with a serious back injury which required surgery but this season has proven that he is well and truly back on song as he has found the sort of form which made him such a sensation.
