You feel that this one will run for much for the summer. But while many football rumours are barely believable, we think that Gareth Bale to Manchester United could well happen.

The Daily Mail is the latest to chip in to the story by stating:

…after two successive summers of failing to lure Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford, Bale, who United tried to sign before he went to Real Madrid from Tottenham, is now the ‘platinum player’ the Manchester club want most.

Bale's time in Spain could be coming to an end

Manchester United showed their hand last summer when they splurged well over £100m on new talent, including £60m on Angel di Maria. And we think that a similar bid would force Real Madrid to seriously consider offloading a player who has gone backwards over the last few months.

Watching him in Real Madrid’s 2-2 draw with Valencia on Saturday night, you could be forgiven for thinking that he wasn’t playing. He was anonymous and has clearly lost his confidence under the spotlight of the Bernabeu. The powerful runs have ceased and his goal threat vastly reduced.

FINAL WORD: We think that Manchester United are right to go for Bale because he is gettable. Spanish football is all about the front three and Barcelona – with Neymar, Suarez and Messi – currently have a better forward line. Bale – who has 99 career goals and 49 caps for Wales – could make way for a new face in the summer and he would be tailor made for Manchester United.

Let’s see him in action. Manchester United fans: a realistic target?

Gareth Bale should be United’s marraki signing this summer, followed by Kevin De Bruin, Memphis Depay, Ilkay Gundogan Laportte, Nathaniel Clyne or Hummels. With Wayne Rooney, Wilson, Falcao and van Persie we have enough goal scorers being supported proven goal getters in Bale, De Bruin, and Depay, who can stop the team from winning the premier league and the champions league….

Bale will be a great signing. De Bruin is only average. He looks good only because of the lower standard of the Bundesliga. One season wonder? Go for Koke who proven consistently over the last 3 seasons.
