Manchester United reportedly sent representatives to Italy this week to scout two players who would walk into many a top team.
Gonzalo Higuain
The Express says:
Manchester United – as well as Paris Saint-Germain – reportedly sent scouts to watch Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain in action last night against Lazio.
Higuain joined Napoli from Real Madrid two seasons and has enjoyed a rich vein of form for the club, which has seen him constantly linked to another move.
While he’s a wonderful player, with power and precision, we just can’t see Manchester United spending big bucks on an experienced striker this summer. With Wayne Rooney in his prime and playing out of his skin at number 9 United would be much better off concentrating on other areas of the squad.
Felipe Anderson
The attacking midfielder joined Lazio in 2013 and has slowly made his way into the team. He now has a highly creditable 9 goals in 35 league games for the club and he has the mobility and technique to perhaps be seen as a better value option than Paul Pogba. While the Higuain link seems outlandish, we could easily imagine the Manchester United manager having a serious look at this lad.
The same source says:
Lazio’s £30m-rated midfielder Felipe Anderson – who has been strongly linked with Chelsea – was also on the agenda for the United representatives.
Anderson is yet to play for the Brazil seniors but is expected to make the breakthrogh before long after impressing in the U21s.
Let’s take look ta the exciting youngster in action. Manchester United fans: worth a punt?
