Manchester United have been linked with Edinson Cavani again this week but perhaps a more realistic signing would be that of the sublime young Palermo striker Paulo Dybala.
Latest reports suggest that the player oft-linked with Manchester United, is the subject of a major bid from Juventus.
The Daily Mail states:
Juventus ‘bid for Arsenal and Manchester United target Paulo Dybala’
The reports says that Italian sources reckon that a bid of around £18m has gone in for the electric forward, who has scored 21 goals in his short career at Palermo.
Many a Manchester United fan would dribble at the prospect of having Sergio Aguero in their side and this guy might be the next best thing. At 21 he has many similarities, including nationality, size, pace and the ability to unseat defenders by hitting the ball so early.
While Edinson Cavani would cost a fortune and have little sell on value, a move for Dybala would make much more sense for Manchester United. Wayne Rooney will surely play up top if Louis van Gaal sticks with a 4-3-3 next season and that means no automatic place for another number 9. While Cavani would expect to start every game, Dybala could grow into the team over time. His pace would also give LvG the option of playing him on the right or left of the front three for Manchester United.
Let’s see Dybala in action. Manchester United fans: time for Louis to pop in a bid?
