Tottenham definitely need to add one or two more strikers to the squad and get rid of the dead wood – and we wholeheartedly applaud Mauricio Pochettino for making the following move, if reports are to be believed.

The Express reckons that an £8m offer has been lodged for a pacey forward, with other Premier League clubs having a long-standing interest in the player:

TOTTENHAM have lodged an £8m bid to sign Fenerbahce striker Emmanuel Emenike.

The Nigeria international has been constantly linked with a move to the Premier League in recent years, with Chelsea and Liverpool both tracking his progress.

The 27 year old made his debut for a competive Nigeria side in 2011. He has since made 27 appearances for his country and scored a meritable 8 goals in that time.

He’s played at a lot of clubs, chief amongst them Fenerbahce (two stints) and Spartak Moscow, where he had a great spell between 2011-2013 scoring a sensational 36 in 42 league games. He also banged in 25 in 40 game sin the league for Fenerbahce inches latest stint at the club.

With Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor as back up to Harry Kane at Tottenham we think that replacements are needed. This guy looks superb and is well capable of succeeding in The Premier League.

Let’s take a look at him in action. Tottenham fans: is he good enough to make a difference at the club or no better than what you already have?

A marble 8 goals? Are these daisy cutters, ricochets or am I missing the analogy here?
I’m sure his club stated earlier that no bid had been made though. From looking at his highlight reels he seems to be a scorer of great goals, rather than a great goal scorer though…

I don’t think this is a good signing. If you do some homework he was arrested for fraud. He’s only scored 3 goals in 13 games and that’s in the Turkish league.
