In truth we couldn’t see Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal making a move for Wesley Sneijder this month. Reports have resurfaced of late about a potential move to United now that the Dutchman is in charge.
But with LvG desperate to get the balance right in what he sees as a broken squad, the idea of bringing another number 10 to the club seemed silly. Whats more this number 10 would have cost a fortune in wages.
But latest reports suggest that the player will leave Galatasaray and instead join Juventus.
The Express writes:
Deal! Man Utd target Wesley Sneijder AGREES Juventus move
Juventus will know all about the talented Dutchman. He was part of the last dominant Inter side which won the treble in 2010 with Sneijder absolutely key to their success.
Few people doubt the quality of this lad – he’s been one of the best players in the world for the last decade. He’s turned out 111 times for Holland since his debut in 2003, scoring 28 goals in the process. His club CV is also glittering with spells at Real Madrid, Ajax, Inter and Gala.
But he’s too old to plan a long term project around and Manchester United simply have too many similar players at Old Trafford already.
Let’s take a look at the potentially Juventus bound star. Manchester United fans: any regrets?
