While some may be surprised that this guy is being mentioned in relation to a move to Real Madrid, anyone who has seen Wilfried Bony play on a regular basis over the last 18 months will know that he has the qualities to succeed at the very highest level.
Madrid are flying right now and Karim Benzema is as good as he’s ever been. But, beyond him, they only have Chicharito to call on int terms of senior, conventional number nines and Bony would provide much stiffer competition for the star striker.
Because Bony is much more complete player than Hernandez. He is one of those players who looks almost as wide as he is tall. But his game is about much more than just power. He’s got pace, a great touch and a really good understanding of the game. We think that he could do a good job for any team in Europe. And British media outlet The Daily Star reckons that a move to Real Madrid could be on the cards:
REAL MADRID are monitoring Swansea striker Wilfried Bony ahead of a potential move in the summer.
The 26 year old has scored 11 goals in 32 appearances for The Ivory Coast since his debut in 2010. He’s really made a name for himself in the last couple of years at Swansea with 34 goals in 70 games and some generally dominant performances.
So while he may not be the Hollywood signing that Madrid fans are used to, Bony has all the quality to be a real star for the club.
Let’s see him in a action. Real Madrid fans: good enough?
