Reports in The British press state that Real Madrid have a verbal agreement in place with German giants Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of the sublime forward Marco Reus.
Despite suffering a cruel injury on the eve of The World Cup, Reus remains one of the most sought after players in Europe, with Manchester United, Chelsea and a host of other top clubs credited with an interest.
But, what Real Madrid wants, Real Madrid usually gets and The Daily Star reckons that Los Blancos have got their man yet again.
Chelsea, Man Utd and City target Marco Reus to join Real Madrid after clubs AGREE deal
MARCO REUS will join Real Madrid next summer after a verbal agreement for his transfer was agreed by president Florentino Perez and Borussia Dortmund top brass.
If the report is true then it leaves the club with an interesting conundrum. You would imagine that Reus would seek assurances over his first team place before making a move – he’d breeze into most other teams in Europe. If he has been promised game time then who makes way? Rodriguez and Ronaldo have been on fire. Benzema is having his best season for Real. And Gareth Bale only signed 18 months ago.
We think that either Bale will make way or Benzema will step aside to let Ronaldo play up top. The mind simply boggles when you imagine how good Madrid would be with this incredibly gifted and efficient addition to the team.
Let’s see some Reus magic. Real Madrid fans: the perfect purchase?
