Perez has been in the form of his life over the last 12 months, putting in the sort of consistent performances that have generated attention from the big boys and made him a prominent member of Argentina’s squad, who played in the semi-final and final at Brazil 2014.
Perez was named player of the year at Benfica in 2014 and has been described by his club boss Jorge Jesus as the ‘brains’ of the team
