Who wouldn’t want him? Tottenham linked with £25m bid

Well the answer to that question may be Chelsea. If reports are to be believed then Jose Mourinho’s side are perhaps prepared to listen offers for a player who has scored 11 in 54 for his current club.

LIVERPOOL and Tottenham are set to launch £25million bids for Chelsea star Andre Schurrle in January.

We think that that Schurrle is an exceptionally efficient footballer. He rarely wastes the ball, has a great delivery and can hit the target off both feet. If Tottenham can do a deal they shouldn’t hesitate because this guy offers top quality in the final third.

The one reason that we could see for Mourinho not wanting him is that he’s not that quick off the mark. He’s no slouch, but Jose loves his wingers to be frighteningly quick over those first ten yards.

For this reason he may get rid. Stranger things have happened. But, at 24, he’s just off the back of a World Cup win and he looks better than ever to us. So we think Chelsea will hang on. At least until a dazzling alternative becomes available.

Let’s see some Schurrle highlights from the recent past. Tottenham fans: worth the cash?

He’s not the answer to Spurs problems. Spurs either get a striker and a CB suited to the style they’re trying to play or change styles to suit the abilities of the players at hand.
