Manchester United have reportedly had a bid accepted for a young Brazilian star. Tabloid reports suggest that United will bring the midfielder to the club in January.

MANCHESTER UNITED have won the race to sign Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea target Roberto Firmino.

According to reports in Spain, the Red Devils have had an offer of £20m accepted by his club Hoffenheim, and the Brazilian will put pen-to-paper on a long-term deal ahead of the January transfer window.

Firmino made his debut for Brazil this year after a quick rise to prominence in the big leagues. After a year at Figueirense, where he bagged 8 goals in 38 games, he moved to Hoffenheim and has been a revelation with 34 in 118 appearances.

While Firmino knows where the goal is he may be recruited as a wide man to bring better balance to the team on the right side of midfield. We think that Louis van Gaal will eventually look for some sort of symmetry on his flanks – another player who can count a pacey and direct style amongst his better qualities to mirror what Di Maria is doing on the left.

But this one seems to have a long way to go before any transfer, despite the enthusiasm of the source.

Let’s take a look at the exciting youngster in action. Manchester United fans: can you see the club buying Firmino?
