Many still believe that Manchester United will finish outside the top four this season. But we think that the club is destined to win the title back the first time of asking.
Without Champions League duties to worry or tire he squad, and the Maverick manager, Louis van Gaal, at the helm we see Manchester United having a sensational and very high point-scoring season in what should be an incredibly tight title race.
While there is so little to choose between the top five teams in England – Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and United – the other will have tough European commitments and we think that this may just tip the balance in Manchester United’s favour come May.
We also cannot overstate our confidence in new manager Louis van Gaal. He’s been such an impressive addition to Manchester United that we think this should carry them over the line. The squad looks reinvigorated, hungry and on-form already. In just two weeks LvG has provided the sort of bar-raising professionalism that seemed to be lacking at a rather rudderless looking club last season.
Manchester United could well have good cup runs as well but we think that the league will take priority and that United will come out on top – just.
United fans: what are your expectations for this season?
Manchester United prediction:
EPL: Winners
CL: N/A
FA Cup: SF
League Cup: Runners up

I can see United winning the Premiership next season. The transformation that United have had in just 2 weeks is quite remarkable. And as time goes on they’re only going to get better. We’re back to playing positive, fast-paced attacking and counter attacking football, our passing movement and triangles are back, we’re scoring from the midfield again, we’re retaining possession well and regaining it quickly once it’s lost and we’re looking solid at the back.

As long as we get a “general” in midfield to direct the play, we’ll win the league.
