There has been a lot of talk over the last week about the idea of Paul Pogba coming to Chelsea.

Although he would probably improve any team in the world it did always seem like an unlikely transfer due to the amount of money being talked about and with FIFA Fairplay rules beginning to bite.

The Express reports today that the Pogba deal is not going to happen at the price being mooted but that Chelsea are still looking for another playmaker. With Chelsea having signed Cesc Fabregas you would imagine they are pretty set in that area of the park.

But it’s all about the squad these days and there are persistent reports that Chelsea’s midfield spend isn’t over yet this summer. The Express states today that Chelsea have lined up an alternative to Poggers.

CHELSEA boss Jose Mourinho is still keen on former Manchester United youngster Paul Pogba but is being put off by Juventus’ £60million asking price.

More realistic in terms of the Chelsea moneymen is Paris Saint-Germain’s Javier Pastore who is available for £25m.

Pastore signed for PSG in 2011 for 39.8m Euros. He had a superb first season but hasn’t kicked on and, despite all of his gifts, at 25 he’s not a regular in the Argentina national side.

It could be time for a change of scenery. We feel that this is a very special talent that needs the right mentoring in order to fulfill his potential on a consistent basis.

Let’s take a look at the lad in action. Chelsea fans: do you need another attacking midfielder or should you be focused on signing more strikers?
