Latest reports have drawn Manchester United fans’ attention to 2 potential targets.
The first is Bruno Martins Indi who has been such a revelation for the Dutch squad during the World Cup in Brazil.
Reports suggest that Porto have launched a bid of 6.5 million pounds for the 22-year-old. The Star says:
But it appears United will have their work cut out to secure his signature, after Porto launched a bid for the 22-year-old.
Reports in the Dutch press suggest the Portuguese giants are willing £6.5m for the player, as they look to conclude a quick deal before Van Gaal takes control.
But we would imagine that his future will be decided by whether Manchester United want to sign him or not.
He’s clearly one of Louis van Gaal’s preferred players and the Dutch boss even told the lad that he loved him in training.
And having taken a decent look at him in The World Cup soccersweep believes that he is definitely a good enough player for Manchester United.
Considering that he can also play in a couple of different positions across the defence, and that Manchester United really do need to reinforce that area of the park, we think that Martins Indi will end up at Old Trafford this summer.
The same source suggests that Manchester United are tracking Nigel de Jong:
New Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is keen to sign AC Milan midfielder Nigel de Jong.
Van Gaal has told executive vice chairman Ed Woodward that he wants to bring the former City star to Old Trafford to steady United’s shaky midfield.
It’s a bit of a shocker considering he used to play for Manchester City but he’s had a really good time over in Italy and is a very solid defensive midfielder with great energy and strength.
At 29 he would be a low risk and relatively low cost signing for a club in transition and in desperate need of some solidity.
Let’s see De Jong in action. Manchester United fans: would you be happy to sign this ex-City boy?

Manchester United signing Ander Herrera would be a good deal to boost the scrappy midfield. He is a player with alot of creativity and he could fit well alongside Carrick.
