Just a week or so ago Manchester United fans were very concerned about the club’s lack of activity in the transfer market.
This was largely blamed on the new Manchester United manager being away at The World Cup with Holland.
We suggested at the time that he may be have a trick up his sleeve after apparently not pursuing high profile targets such as Cesc Fabregas, Toni Kroos and Eliaquim Mangala.
And Manchester United fans needn’t have worried. Because the Dutch squad looks absolutely sensational and it’s easy to imagine several of the players joining up with the Manchester United squad this summer.
But Louis van Gaal will surely buy one or two players from outside the Dutch team as well and reports over the last few days have suggested that Nicolas Gaitan might be on the radar. Some have gone as far as to say that a bid has been made.
That news has sent bookmaker BetVictor in action. They now make Manchester United strong favourites to sign the player at the short odds of 6/4.
Gaitan is a tricky winger who started his career extremely well but his trajectory has tailed off over the last year or so. Nevertheless he remains an excellent prospect and and is still only 26. He’s a natural left-footer who may offer the sort of quality from wide areas that has been so desperately lacking in Manchester United over the last couple of years.
Let’s see the boy action. Manchester United fans: good solution?
