Reports in Portugal today suggest a Manchester United might be preparing for an audacious move to bring Nicolas Gaitan in from with Benfica.
Gaitan has been linked with Manchester United for a couple of years now but seems to have lost his form over the last 18 months and had apparently fallen off the radar.
But the Argentinian winger/forward has resurrected his career somewhat in the last six months and Manchester United may be interested again, according to Portuguese daily A Bola.
The Metro goes as far as to say that a bid of £20m has already been made and that the deal may include Bebe going to Benfica.
Manchester United have made a £20million offer for Benfica winger Nicolas Gaitan and hope to close the transfer in the coming days.
….out-of-favour winger Bebe could even be thrown in to speed up negotiations.
We definitely believe that Manchester United need more quality on the wings and Gaitan is a natural left-footer who could offer better service to Rooney and van Persie than they have seen over the last season.
Bebe has had a decent spell on loan from Manchester United but it does appear that his the future lies away from Old Trafford.
