There has been a lot of speculation about who new Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will bring with him to the club.
One of the most strikingly obvious yet hitherto less mentioned names is Saints star Victor Wanyama.
With Paulinho and Sandro not really grasping the nettle in the midfield last season, Tottenham could do with a real powerhouse and a personality in the engine room, to stamp his authority all over games and leave the opposition praying for the final whistle.
Step forward the thunderous Wanyama who could surely do a job in the Tottenham midfield. The Daily Mail reckons he wants a move:
Victor Wanyama wants to follow Mauricio Pochettino from Southampton to Tottenham.
The Kenyan midfielder made it clear his week that he felt Saints should have done more to keep the Argentinian boss.
The Wardrobe, Tom Huddlestone, was big at 6ft 2in. And Wanyama is the same height but is possibly even wider and more sturdy. So he may one day be known to Tottenham fans as The Walk In Wardrobe or even The Welsh Dresser. Wanyama too has a lovely touch for a big lad but possibly covers the ground better than the Ex-Spurs man and we think he has bigger impact on games.
Unfortunately for The Saints we think that the big man is destined for another big move in his career and perhaps Tottenham might come calling as early as this summer.
Let’s take a look at the lad in action. Tottenham fans: Keen?
