Tottenham: Pochettino has NINE transfer targets according to broadsheet report

It was commonly acknowledged that Tottenham destabilised their squad by doing too much transfer business last close season.

Nevertheless, with the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino as new Tottenham boss, The Telegraph has implied that the Argentine has 9 major targets this summer. soccersweep runs the rule over each.

Romelu Lukaku – there is very little not to like about this guy but Jose Mourinho seems strangely indifferent to the brilliant Belgian. Any chance Tottenham get they should most definitely snap him up for next season. He guarantees goals.

Jay Rodriguez – Was injured just as he got into contention for Ricky Lambert’s World Cup berth. A real nightmare for the lad. The silver lining could be a move to Tottenham. He’s worth a punt.

Loic Remy – This guy is hot property. The reason? Because he’s got a bit of everything. Pace, power, precision and football intelligence. We think he would improve any squad in The Premier League.

Mattia Destro – The 23 year old Roma striker has scored 13 in 20 league games this season but has recently stated that he wants to remain in Rome. So a move seems unlikely right now.

Adam Lallana – as a little bit of the Hoddles about him don’t you think?

Alvaro Vadillo – This 19 year old left winger at Real Betis is hot property. He’s been likened to Ronaldo and Tottenham won’t be the only interested party.

Dejan Lovren – a solid 24-year-old defender who is another highly sought after Premier League star. With Pochettino in town Tottenham may jump the queue for his signature.

Daley Blind – The 24 year old Dutch international will be at The World Cup this summer. Can play defensive midfield or as a left-back.

Morgan Schneiderlin – Will Southampton have any players left by the start of next season?

Tottenham fans – who do you most need out of this lot?

Would love Lukaku, Remy or Rodriguez, Lovren and Blind. For me, Lallana is good but he’s not worth £25m…we’re not exactly short of attacking midfielders so I’d leave him if I were us. Same with Shaw…while I’d like him and think he’s a great player, we could get Ben Davies for a third of the price. He’s got PL experience, is only three years older, and actually had better stats than Shaw this season according to Opta…

We need a left back and a right centre back above all things, so Blind and Lovren for me.

Need a Pacy solid CB, Cover for Walker, LB is a must Rose can’t cut it and I would for Ashley Cole on a Free, We miss a Midfielder in the mould of Modric to get us ticking. Bobby can go to AM and need 2 more strikers after this.

Pure invention, throw in Eriksen and how are they all going to play together? Remy wants Champions League so why would he sign if we signed Lukaku for instance? Signing 3 strikers would mean selling Adebayor, Soldado and Kane and he tried to sign Kane for Southampton. Very poorly thought out story.
