Best result of the season to come?

No sooner had Manchester United sacked David Moyes than the rumour mills went into overdrive about who the next permanent manager would be.

It’s perfectly understandable that Manchester United fans are anxious to know who will be leading the team beyond the end of the season.

But with Manchester United suffering their worst season in 20 years and things going so badly for David Moyes, United fans should simply take time to enjoy the moment. The disastrous Moyes has gone. And with Giggs coming in temporarily the cloud has well and truly been lifted.

He gave a highly impressive press conference on Friday morning but it was also light-hearted. He spoke more than once of Manchester United players enjoying themselves again – without enjoyment, he said, players aren’t able to properly express themselves.

It’s been an outright disaster under Moyes but we could easily imagine this new feel good factor, along with Ryan Giggs’s astute running of the team, translating into Manchester United’s best result of the season in these last four games.

We definitely think it’s worth a punt at the bookies. David Moyes might argue that they are comparatively easy fixtures – Norwich, Sunderland, Hull at home and Southampton away – but so was Fulham at home mate. Result? An abysmal 2-2.

So Manchester United fans should take a little bit of time out to simply enjoy the fact that the team is no longer managed by Moyes. Even though Manchester United have had an apocalyptically bad season you could say that, with Giggs at the helm, it’s party time at Old Trafford once more.
