Manchester United need to sort out their midfield quick sharp. Three really top midfielders will probably be needed to inject the sort of life into the engine room that will give the club that spark and dynamism going forward.
One player who has been linked to the club of late is France midfielder Maxime Gonalons. The 25 year old defensive midfielder, who stands at about 6ft 1in, has been at Lyon since 1999 and made is way up through the youth ranks to a first team debut in 2009. Since then he has played 137 league games for the club, scoring 5 times.
Such has been his form that he has also turned out six times for France. But Talksport reckons that financial issues may force Lyon to cash in on some of their big hitters in the summer and Gonalons could be one to leave.
financial issues may force Lyon to cash in on the anchorman at the end of the season, and the player himself is open to a move to Naples.
But Manchester United, whose midfield strength has been questioned heavily over the past few seasons, have now joined the running.
With Marouane Fellaini really not cutting the mustard so far for Manchester United and Micheal Carrick now well into his thirties the defensive midfield will surely get a spruce in the summer and this guy looks like the real deal. Let’s see the lad in action.
