How do United beat City

They can’t is the obvious answer! Manchester City have had a few strange humblings this season – they lost to Wigan at home in the cup of course and didn’t really get that close to Barcelona – but they have developed a certain mastery in the league through their recent experience elf winning the title. Like most serial winners Manchester City have learnt how to dispatch teams outside the top five with relative ease.

And this season they are once again reaching that football paradise of consistency. We still make them favourites to lift The Premier League trophy.

So then how can the inconsistent Manchester United side, shorn of RvP’s goals, beat Manchester City?

Well there is little point looking for chinks in the armoury. City spent decadently for a few years to make their squad world class. If they have a weaker department it’s possibly at the back. But any defence with Vincent Kompany in is going to be decent. Up front, top scorer Sergio Aguero is out of the clash and Negredo is having a bit of dip.

But Yaya tour has 20 goals form midfield this season so they rarely struggle in the goals for column.

No, Manchester United need to simply concentrate on their own strengths for this one. Whisper it quietly but Manchester United showed some serious promise at the weekend with a new lin dup enforced by injury. David Moyes has spoken of bad luck this season and would still prefer to have Robin van Persie fit. But this cloud could well have a silver lining as the shape of the team against West Ham was superb.

For the first time all season Manchester United looked really quick on the counter-attack and move the ball beautifully. Everyone seemed to know and be comfortbale with where they were playing and the interplay of Mata, Kagawa and Rooney really came to the fore.

Their combined technique is great to watch and they played in ruthless little triangles all afternoon. It is truly a crime that Kagawa sits on the bench so often for Manchester United.

So, if not a happy accident, van Persie’s injury might have spawned a team that might have the keys to unlock City.

Manchester United will only win this game if they start well and on the front foot. The first ten minutes of the Liverpool game was where the away team won it. They ceased the initiative when United were wasting the ball early on and the home team could never wrest back that impetus.

If Manchester Untied do win we think that it will be because the trio of Mata, Kagawa and Rooney have stolen the show once more.

Manchester United fans – can they do it?

Should of sacked moyes last week and got gigs to takeover, the buzz would lift everyone from fans to the players! But since moyes is still incharge we’ve no chance! He’s a natural born loser,we’re turned into a losing team thanks to him.As far as moyes is concerned he’s been a success and turned the team into another preston/everton.
