It’s not the superstar signing that you were all hoping for – that will have to wait until the summer.
But one of the reasons that Manchester United have had such a poor season is that they have had lots of injuries to key players throughout the campaign. Only last week did we begin to see what many might call the strongest Manchester United line up.
At various times Manchester United have been without RvP, Wayne Rooney, Phil Jones, Micheal Carrick, Nemanja Vidic, Nani, Ashley Young and Rafael da Silva – any club would struggle with that sort of injury list.
Manchester United will hope to combat those problems in future by unveiling a new, state-of-the-art training facility at their Carrington training ground in Manchester.
Manchester United manager David Moyes is quoted in The Daily Star as saying:
Manager David Moyes added: “I’m absolutely delighted to have this facility fully up and running.
“Not only is it cutting edge medical technology, it will also help us detect the early signs of injury and help to refine the rehabilitation process – something that will pay dividends for years to come.”
Manchester United’s new complex is report dot be amongst the very best in the world, with electrical manufacturers Toshiba at the forefront of the project:
Toshiba said the new suite “Will enable Manchester United to identify, treat and rehabilitate players with a speed not currently experienced in world football today.”
Let’s hope that the new training facility will have a positive impact on Manchester United’s results.
