With Aiden McGeady in and Kenwyne Jones possibly on the way Everton have been one of the busier Premier League teams in the transfer window so far. Jelavic looks like his move is done and dusted and there is also speculation that Jonny Heitinga could be on his bike.
He declined a move to West Ham after the clubs had agreed a deal for the player and, depsite this transfer not happening, Everton have shown their hand in relation to the player. If he does leave then they may well want to replace him before the summer.
The Liverpool Echo reports this afternoon that Everton may plump for a lesser known talent with lots of promise.
Everton transfer speculation today sees Roberto Martinez reportedly considering making an offer for Udinese defender Thomas Heurtaux.
Everton reportedly see the 25-year-old Frenchman as an ideal replacement for John Heitinga, who looks set to leave Goodison Park.
Hertaux played 61 times for Caen before being spotted by Udinese, for whom he signed in 2012. He’s since gone on to play 31 times for the Italian outfit, scoring an interesting four goals in the process. He’s actually joint top scorer for the club this season.
