Everton favourites for striker signature

Everton are reportedly looking to bolster their striking options and may well add in this window. The presence of Romelu Lukaku is guaranteed at least until the summer. Who knows who Jose Mourinho will feel about him then.

Instinct would tell you that Chelsea will be desperate to bring back the striker who has 9 Premier League goals so far in this campaign. But the reservations that he had about the Belgian last autumn may still stand.

But Everton can’t really on that. Lukaku is a huge player for Everton and they will have a massive whole to fill if he does leave in May.

One step towards a competitive squad of forwards could be the January signing of Kenwyne Jones. When we suggested this last week we got a lot of extremely varied responses. While some felt that he would be a good addition others planned to stop supporting Everton should the international, capped 58 times by Trinidad and Tobago, join the club!

Well they say that the bookies usually get it right and Everton are at the short price of 11/8 to sign the player in this window with SkyBet. That makes them favourite for his signature.

We stand our belief that he would be a really good addition to the Everton squad. But he obviously has some convincing to do it he does turn up at Goodison in January.
