Manchester United now joint favourite with bookie to sign £30m playmaker

Manchester United are going to overhaul their entire staff in January, including the ‘one-paced’ tea ladies

I wonder if David Moyes will sign any players at all in the winter window? After all the hype in early autumn about how Manchester United are going to overhaul their entire staff in January, including the ‘one-paced’ tea ladies, it might actually turn out to be a month of stasis for the club.

Signing players in January is particularly difficult. I’m sure that the Manchester United manager would love to buy if the right player came along but, having spent £30m so far on a player who was underwhelmed, he might be once bitten twice shy.

But the fact remains that the midfield needs improvement. With Carrick injured Manchester United look threadbare in that area.

Yesterday we reported that Manchester United have been linked with the brilliant Borussia Dortmund player Marco Reus who, according to The Guardian, has a release clause of 30 million. Well bookmakers Skybet now make Manchester United joint favourites, along with Bayern Munchen to sign the player in the winter window. The odds are 8/1.

The German club must absolutely despise having to sell players like Marion Gotze to their main rivals and will probably try to avoid further losses to Munchen at all costs. Which means that Manchester United may be in with a shout.

He’s a brilliant player but the idea of him leaving Dortmund in the middle of a Champions League campaign seems a little hard to imagine. But Dortmund’s loss would most certainly be Manchester United’s gain as this is a special footballer – a midfielder who loves to score goals – and a midfielder who is very good at scoring goals.

Let’s show you some of those goals now and let us know your thoughts on whether this deal is a goer.

I was really fan by the victory of Man Utd over arsenal through the header of van persie and assisted by W.Rooney.I appreciate all manutd players but W.rooney is the best one to me even from other players in the world like C.Ronaldo the late man utd player.
