Ok the news this morning that Mr. Abramovich has somehow been outbid for Battersea Power Station is a bit of a blow but, after the few weeks that they have collectively enjoyed, Chelsea fans can’t be too distressed.
First they take the Champions League after another backs to the wall performance in Munich. Then they immediately beat their bitter rivals Manchester United to the most talented young player in Europe – Eden Hazard.
Follow that up with a near concluded deal for the incredible Hulk and The Blues must literally need to all go home and change their pants. Will any club ever flip the nuts quite like that again? Even Manchester City can’t claim such concentrated, varied and money generated joy as this. Oh to have a benefactor like Mr. Abramovich! One only hopes that he will see sense and keep ‘MiniPep’ in charge after Roberto Di Matteo worked wonders with the team. It would have taken a brave/howling mad slipper wearing man to bet on Chelsea winning the FA Cup and Champions League in Mid-January, when he took over. He brought Roman the trophy he most wanted so it seems incredible that he hasn’t yet been offered the job on a permanent basis.
Today we hear about another mooted signing, potentially the third in a short space of time and one that has been written about a lot in the last few months. Marouane Fellaini to Chelsea isn’t a new story but it is one that seemingly won’t go away.
I am reporting that the Guardian is reporting that the Daily Mail reports that Chelsea want the human microphone for their unbelievably exciting rebuilding project and are prepared to pay £20m for the midfield general.
You have to say that he would probably fit in well at Chelsea and add some physicality to a squad that seems to be getting smaller by the week. It seems that Manchester City and Chelsea are in a race to be the next Barcelona by recruiting small and technically gifted players from around the world.
If they do sign another Belgian Chelsea will somehow have to shoehorn Mata, Hazard, Hulk, Torres, Ramires, Lampard and the human microphone into one sumptuous XI.

also ‘minipeps’ tactics are boring and defensive. if we are buying these new young attacking players why would we put a manager with such old defensive tactics. RDM is no leader, he’s just ‘one of the boys’ to the old guard.

RDM at the moment is the best, he doesn’t play only defensive.He has the answer to every opposition, be it Real, Barca, United ..etc. He plays each team the way possible to overcome them.Defensive against Barca and Munich, what about liverpool and Spurs in the Fa cup? Was he defensive too? There is never one way of playing football, there should be plan A,B and C so that your approach don’t become predictable like that of Barca.

I think chelsea should slow down on buying and give some of the younger lads a chance…players like Piazon,Kakuta,Josh, Hutchinson and Lukaku should be given more time…and Essien,Malouda,Sturidge,Ferreira,should be shown the door out…..

RDM defence tactics worked for us last season, we won the FA Cup and the CL. he used those tactics bcos of the players he had our strenth was mainly in defense and it worked!! now that we signing attacking players im sure his tactics will change.. he’ll keep that strong defence and mix it with our new killer attack!! i can see us being a vastly counter attacking team..! Ppl that think RDM is a bad coach and represents BORING soccer are so wrong!! and heres why, Remember the Game Against Napilo…..? we were chasing goals bcos of a poor 1st leg.. he put out a attacking formation and we happend to put 4 goals past them!! In that game all the players we available for him.. And we could play an attacking game! We don’t need fellanni that would only make things even harder for who ever gets the Manager Job.. His not good enough for My Chelsea.. Watched him against england at the weekend..! Wat we need is hulk, luka and maybe another defensive player.. And we need to find a way to play our Youngsters… Other wise they’ll just fade away.. I’d play a lot of them in the Carling cup.. Josh needs to get Game time in the Epl.. Lucas can join the senior team in carling cup.. If nt then I really don’t see why we have a youth system..! We never use any players in it!! And at the moment our youth system has the best talent in the whole of england..

There is no need fighting over the fact that rdm is good, take a look at his stats at west brom, any way he only did what was required at chelsea, they were letting in too much goals under avb, every one knows chelsea don’t play like that cause of the kind of players they got, now with a little bit of upgrading the squad looks fairly balanced, don’t forget we got a lot on our shoulders for the upcoming season,to win super cup. the league, fa, carling. n to retain the champions league or even getting close, alot of players will be required so shuffling won’t be a problem the young lads with get a chance this time around, not to forgot world club cup I hope they bring that back it will be lovely

yea guys, yu all have spoken well. But frm my own perspective i think RDM really deserve a chance considering his outgoing success 1. And 2, we need to getrid off players like essien , merrelage, ferrera kalu,bozingwa,maluder. And sturrige a slice chance to start from d benge. Lampard, terry should be kept as our own rian gigg and feddinard.3 Now after a player like felani who got strength we need a creativity in our midfied an in our rightback we got vandar wele who is knoking at d door already. And lest i forget we still need a non too expensive striker to swap with torres off front co’s a player like lukaku isn’t goin to meet our deman thaxs.

I’ll always praise RDM. He used the worst squad to get the best results. He played the defensive bcos he had to and he got it right. But with the Chelsea’s “project” that attracted Hazard, it’s going to be a new style for the Blues and I think Fellani would want to be at the centre of it. Goodluck Chelsea!

I think RDM should be given the nod. People think that he is a defensive minded couch which i dont agree bcos looking at the squard that he took over 4rm AVB, it wasnt a squard that one can boast of. Just because RDM resorted to defensive, on the break, tactics for his short term as interim manager doesn’t mean, with a full pre-season and greater depth to the squad with our purchases, he’ll resort to those tactics again. He came in at a desperate time, resorted to the tactics required to get results and got them. If we recall his time at WBA, they played attractive, possession football. In fact, I like the obvious fact that he can adapt tactics to suit the players he has available and the opposition faced. AVB only tried that change once and in doing so, rescued our Champions League at home against Valencia. Carlo didn’t alter tactics enough and paid. I think RDM deserves a go and believe that he won’t stick to those defensive tactics as practice but in fact, use the time and additional playing staff to play the type of football we and Roman crave, whilst having it in his locker to turn ugly if need be, which is what successful teams in the Prem league must be able to do; look at Fergie and take a leaf.

RDM should be given a chance to prove himself next season now that Mr. RM is trying and will definitely add new young and exciting attack minded players. If Sturidge had capitalized, used and improved on the opportunity presented to him by AVB on the right flank, we wouldnt have been talking of Hulk. Hulk is a good player but doesnt worth that price of 38 million maybe 20 or 25 million considering his age..(he is 25 going to 26).. We don’t need M. Fallaini afterall, we have J. Mikel (for stability, defence, possesion and balance), Ramirez (for endurance, strength, pace and marking), and others like Meireles, Romeu and Essien. The recruitment of E. Hazard and M. Marin will for sure hinder the likes of L. Paizon, I. Feruz and P. Bamford progress to the first team. The likes of F.Malouda, J. Bosingwa, H. Hilario, P. Fareira, even R. Tumbull should be shown the exit door and promote R. Taylor and Adams into the 1st team. As for lukaku, we ought not to judge him compared to the number of games he had. We need V.D. Weil as a cover for B. Ivanovic. Frank Lampard and John George Terry should be our own scholes and Giggs. Chelsea for good.
