Tottenham: If the rumours are true Spurs should break the bank to sign this man

Super middle man available?

Tottenham have a tradition of playing exciting football and the fans will demand it every season.

But there has been a lack of defensive solidity in the side at times this season and a really commanding defensive midfielder will be needed long-term.

Bentaleb is talented enough to do a job anywhere in the midfield and could easily be deployed there. Sandro seems to draw varied responses and is not without his critics.

If Yann M’Vila becomes available, as is being touted as a possibility by The Express then he would definitely be a worthwhile addition for Tottenham or Everton.

RUBIN KAZAN have put Everton, Arsenal and Tottenham on alert after admitting Yann M’Vila and former Liverpool youngster Chris Mavinga will be free to leave the club in the summer.

The 23-year-old has previously been linked with Arsenal, Tottenham and Everton, and was also pictured sitting with Liverpool fans at the Merseyside derby earlier this season.

All four clubs could enter into a bidding war to bring the French international to England in the summer.

You do feel that the Frenchman, who has 22 caps for his country, would be a perfect foreign import for The Premier League. He’s quick and technically astute but also robust – he has the physique to handle the rigours of English football.

While players like Sandro will continue to put in a shift in the midfield for Tottenham there is certainly room for improvement and room for a new, top class, midfield hub for the team in the long term.

Likewise Everton have James McCarthy and Darren Gibson – the latter more on the periphery since injury – but they could use someone else to anchor the side with all the attacking players that Roberto Martinez likes to squeeze into his teams – especially if Gareth Barry opts not to stay.

Let’s take a look at the lad in action.
