Report: Manchester United make a €49.3m bid for superstar – finally the big deal to be completed?

A Must Buy

You could argue the toss in terms of what Manchester United need most this summer. But few would argue with the idea that a commanding central midfielder would be just the ticket.

Nigel De Jong and William Carvalho have been mooted as potential targets and both would do a decent job. But Carvalho would be a bit of a gamble considering he hasn’t played in England and is very young, while De Jong is not going to improve much, at 29, and doesn’t always have the best technique.

And if you were to combine the technique of Carvalho with the combative skills of De Jong then you would probably end up with something like Arturo Vidal.

And after seeing the way that he performed at The World Cup any other signing for the centre of midfield for Manchester United this summer would surely be seen as a disappointing one.

This guy is exactly what Manchester United fans want. A box to box hero who helps out his defence, sprays beautiful passes around the park and gets forward to score great goals – you couldn’t ask for much more from midfielder.

So the fans will be praying that Manchester United don’t drag their heels on this one, with reported interest from other clubs.

According to The Independent, the latest news from Italy is that another bid has gone in for the player – this time for a whopping €49.3 million.

Manchester United have returned to Juventus with a bid of £39m (49.3m Euros) for Arturo Vidal, according to reports.

Italian newspaper Tuttosport claim that the Chile international is the subject of a take-it or leave-it bid from the Old Trafford outfit.

If Manchester United want to challenge for honours next season they need Vidal – simple as. Fletcher, Cleverley, Anderson and Fellaini are just not good enough at this level and, to be ruthless for a moment, we would get rid of all of them.

The best Manchester United teams have had great midfields and they will again if they sign this lad to play alongside the excellent Ander Herrera.

Let’s see some more Vidal magic. Manchester United fans: best possible signing?

VIDAL is absolutely a remarkable player for UTD. He is a talented box tp box midfielder.
BUT UTD desperately need also a Defensive Midfielder and the fantastic player WILLIAM CARVALHO is the best choice, having seen HIM playing at the latest World Cup.
Tell to LVG – Don’t let ARSENAL take this player from us.
Money is the strongest weapon. Use it this time to get these two players VIDAL + CARVALHO and be sure that BOTH can function very well.

Carvalho didnt play in the last world cup, you must be dreaming. Vidal & blind would be the ideal pair to cover the position with herrera. If Vidal dosnt come then blind & strootman in january.

I think they should stop talking about spending money and actually sign players if there isn’t a problem how much we spend then let’s get deals done instead ov dragging it out like we did last season and end up buying panic buys waste ov money if they spent nearly 30 million for fellani waste ov money then they should spend double that on vidal a player who is actually gud and get reus and hummles and strootman and varjil and maybe go for depay what a player he is
