Neymar asked Paris Saint-Germain to sign Alexis Sanchez as part of his negotiations before moving to the club, reports Le Parisien.
The Brazilian became the world’s most expensive player when he joined the Qatar-backed Ligue 1 outfit this summer.
And the former Barcelona man hasn’t taken long to throw the weight of that price tag around, quickly becoming embroiled in a dispute with Edinson Cavani over who would take penalties.
It’s now being suggested he also made a series of demands before joining, one of which was that the board would attempt to sign Sanchez.
The Chilean is out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season and is highly unlikely to commit to a new deal.
The fact that he’ll be available on a free transfer is particularly appealing, as PSG are coming under increasing pressure to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations following their deals for Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
Cavani could be sold to make way for the forward, as this would allow Mbappe to move into the middle of the attack.
Sanchez is thought to be weighing up PSG and Manchester City, though if he were to move in January, Arsenal would do their best to stop him joining a Premier League rival.
