Harry Kane seemed reluctant to rule out leaving Spurs for a move abroad when the question was put to him in an England press conference.
The 24-year-old has been made captain for the Three Lions’ game against Slovenia tonight, but he has also had to contend with continued speculation surrounding his future thanks to his brilliant form for club and country in September.
Spanish publication Don Balon have suggested Real Madrid would be willing to pay as much as £177million for the striker, making him the second most expensive player in the world after Neymar.
With that clearly in mind, Kane was asked whether he would consider playing in another league, to which he responded:
“I would never say no or yes. You’d not rule out anything.
“It’s not something I definitely want to do, but you never rule anything out.
“I’m very happy here (at Tottenham), but we’ll see what happens.”
The Spurs star has scored 11 goals in his last nine games, including his first hat-trick of the season in the Champions League against APOEL Nicosia.
If he keeps up that kind of form, the two-time Golden Boot winner is sure to be in huge demand next summer.
