Los Blancos missed out on Kylian Mbappe this summer, with the French international opting to join PSG instead. As a consequence, they must still find a solution to their long-term attacking options, with one eye forever on a post-Ronaldo Madrid.
Of course, Karim Benzema has only just signed a new contract, so Zinedine Zidane has filled that striking option for the immediate future.
Real can no longer rely on their ‘special partnership’ with Tottenham, an agreement Levy terminated when he realised Spurs weren’t actually getting anything out of it at all.
It remains to be seen whether the allure of the Bernabeu is enough to tempt Kane.
